After Completing LLM – Registration Process
1. State Bar Council Enrollment (After LLB)
Step 1: Fill Enrollment Application
After completing LLB, every student must register as an Advocate with the State Bar Council. (Example: State Bar Council of Maharashtra & Goa for Mumbai students)
Step 2: Upload Mandatory Documents
- LLB Marksheets (All Semesters)
- LLB Degree / Provisional Certificate
- Passport-size Photographs
- Aadhar / ID Proof
- Character Certificate
- Affidavits as required by State Bar Council
Step 3: Pay Enrollment Fees
Fees include Enrollment Fee, Welfare Fund, and Processing Charges (varies by state).
Step 4: Document Verification
Original documents are verified by the State Bar Council.
Step 5: Receive Enrollment Number
You will receive a Provisional Enrollment Number + Provisional Advocate ID Card.
2. AIBE (All India Bar Examination) Process
Step 1: Online Registration
Register on the official AIBE portal using mobile number, email, and enrollment number.
Step 2: Fill the AIBE Application Form
Enter personal details, State Bar Council details, and choose exam centre (Mumbai available).
Step 3: Upload Documents
- Enrollment Certificate
- Photograph
- Signature
- Category Certificate (if applicable)
Step 4: Pay Examination Fees
Pay fees through UPI / Net Banking / Cards.
Step 5: Download AIBE Admit Card
Admit card contains your exam center, seat number, and instructions.
Step 6: Appear for the AIBE Exam
- Mode: Offline (OMR Sheet)
- Duration: 3 Hours 30 Minutes
- Type: MCQ
Step 7: Certificate of Practice (CoP)
After passing AIBE, the Bar Council Of India issues the Certificate of Practice. You can now practice law in any court in India.
